Welcome to Stroudsburg Islamic Center

A Place to Worship, Learn, and Grow Together

Stroudsburg Islamic Center (SIC), a place where faith brings us together, hearts find peace, and community becomes family.

Located in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, our center serves as a place of worship, Islamic education, spiritual growth, and community support. We welcome Muslims from all backgrounds and cultures to come together in faith, strengthen their connection with Allah (SWT), and build meaningful relationships with one another.

Whether you are joining us for daily prayers, Jummah (Friday) prayers, Islamic learning, community activities, or special events, you are always welcome.

Our History

Stroudsburg Islamic Center was founded on July 1, 1988, by dedicated members of the local Muslim community who wanted to establish a place for worship, religious education, and fellowship.

What began as a small community serving just a few Muslim families has grown into a welcoming center serving more than 400 families in our local community. During major Islamic events and holidays, we also welcome an additional 200–300 families from surrounding communities.

Alhamdulillah, our center continues to grow through the dedication, generosity, and support of our community members.

Our Mission

Our mission is to strengthen faith, promote Islamic values, provide religious education, and bring people together through worship, service, and community engagement.

We strive to:

  • Worship Allah (SWT): Provide a welcoming place for daily prayers, Jummah prayers, Ramadan activities, and other religious gatherings.
  • Educate and Inspire: Support Quranic learning, Islamic studies, and the development of strong Islamic values in children, youth, and adults.
  • Build Community: Bring Muslim families together in a spirit of unity, brotherhood, sisterhood, and mutual respect.
  • Support Families: Encourage positive family relationships and provide opportunities for spiritual and personal growth.
  • Serve Others: Promote charity, compassion, generosity, and assistance to those in need.
  • Preserve Islamic Values: Help future generations develop a strong understanding of Islam and practice their faith with sincerity.

Our Community

We encourage everyone to contribute their time, knowledge, skills, and resources to help our community flourish. Through cooperation, kindness, and shared responsibility, we can create a welcoming environment for current and future generations.

Our Faith and Values

At Stroudsburg Islamic Center, we seek to uphold the values of Islam through faith, sincerity, honesty, compassion, charity, respect, and service to humanity.

Allah (SWT) says in the Holy Quran:

Arabic:

وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ

English Translation:

“And cooperate in righteousness and piety.” — Quran 5:2

This beautiful teaching reminds us of the importance of working together to build a stronger, more caring community.
